Content-Management System for Southern African NGO.

Tree Africa home page

Background

Tree Africa fundraises and supports the work of its parent organisation Environment Africa, an NGO with over 18 years’ experience working in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

What we did

We created a lightweight but powerful content-management system (soon to be launched as Cafu, one of our products) to enable Tree Africa to launch and manage their website.

This enabled Tree Africa not only to create pages
with embedded images and videos, but also to create and edit a blog to better communicate with their supporters, and to publicise upcoming events through webtiles. The CMS also has an extensive gallery and document store that enables content to be uploaded to create rich and vibrant content.

The website design was done by Sonia Morales of Semiotics.

It was very important to create a tool that made it easy for a non-technical user to create, edit, and manage rich content without formal training as the handover of the tool happened remotely.

Testimonial

True North were skilful and professional. Of paramount importance to us was to have a clean appealing site that was easy to manage – they exceeded all our expectations and it has been a pleasure working with them.
